Tahawwur Rana Has Demanded A Quran, Pen, And Paper In Custody: The NIA is questioning Mumbai terror attack mastermind Tahawwur Hussain Rana for the second day yesterday, on Saturday. On the first day, he was questioned for three hours. During this time, the terrorist was asked many questions. Tahawwur is currently in NIA custody. He has been kept in a high-security cell inside the NIA headquarters at the CGO Complex in New Delhi. Security personnel have been deployed for 24 hours for his security. Rana, who was detained in the cell, demanded three things.
According to a news agency, Mumbai terror attack mastermind Tahawwur Rana has demanded a Quran, pen, and paper inside his cell. The officer said that he is not being given any special treatment. He said that he is being treated like an arrested person. He is being treated the same. On his request, he has been provided with a copy of the Quran, and prayers are being offered five times a day at the agency headquarters.
Strict surveillance on Rana, who is detained at the NIA headquarters
The officer said that Rana had asked for a copy of the Quran, which we have provided. He is performing five daily prayers in his room. Apart from the Quran, Rana had also demanded a pen and paper, which were provided to him. However, he is being kept under strict surveillance to ensure that he does not harm himself with the pen. Apart from this, he has not made any other demands.
Tahawwur Rana in NIA custody for 18 days
Rana is allowed to meet his lawyer daily and is undergoing medical examination every 48 hours. After Rana was extradited from the US, he was sent to an 18-day NIA custody. Rana returned to India from the US on Thursday evening. He has been arrested under the UAPA and accused of plotting the Mumbai terror attacks. He was brought to the NIA headquarters on Friday morning. Since then, the investigating agency has been continuously questioning him (Tahawwur Rana).
