Why Tulsi should not be touched on this event
on sunday:
According to mythological belief, Goddess Lakshmi keeps a fast for Lord Vishnu on Sunday, hence, touching Tulsi and offering water to it is forbidden on this day.
On Ekadasi day:
Even on the day of Ekadashi, Tulsi Mata keeps a waterless fast for Lord Vishnu, hence Tulsi should not be touched or watered on Ekadashi.
Tulsi at night:
According to the scriptures, Tulsi should not be touched at all during the night. Touching Tulsi at night leads to financial loss and one has to face many troubles.
without bathing:
The a Tulsi plant should never be touched without taking bath. It should always be touched only after taking a bath. Tulsi Mata can get angry if Tulsi is touched without taking a bath.
Tulsi plant during periods:
It is said that women should not touch or water the Tulsi plant during menstruation. This practice has been going on for generations and is described in cultural and religious beliefs.
during eclipse:
Tulsi leaves should not be plucked during a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse, or at night. Its buds should not be plucked on Sunday and Tuesday. There is a religious belief that doing so brings problems in life.
