Surgaon Joshi village, 8 km from Khandwar. The marriage of the daughter of a farmer named Nanaji Chaudhary was the talk of the town. Nanaji Chaudhary treated her daughter as if she were his son and raised her with great care. So, in order to fulfill his dream of marriage, he broke the tradition. After the daughter was dressed up in the bride’s attire and sat on a horse, the procession set off. The daughter reached the son’s house amidst dancing and singing.
Nanaji Choudhury’s daughter Subhasree was married to Ajay Zirati. Ajay works in a private bank. Nanaji says that he broke the tradition to fulfill the daughter’s wish. Similarly, the daughter’s brother Rabindra Choudhury says that the daughter is the Lakshmi of our house. She must also want to sit on a horse like the boys. So to fulfill her wish, we broke all the tradition and made her sit on a horse. The villagers also cooperated with him a lot.
Similarly, Bhagyashree herself said, “It was my father’s dream, and I also had a desire somewhere in my heart to get married on a horse like my sons. That’s why such a wedding was organized. I sat on a horse for about an hour, which was a great experience.”
