UPI transactions service closed: Closure will be from this date! This is great news if you make online payments. If you want to transfer money to someone but your phone’s internet isn’t working, don’t panic; you can use the services of the National Payments Corporation of India. However, if you are using UPI; then this news should come to your attention. A major private bank in the country has also announced that this week, for a few hours, it would stop its UPI services. Due to this, UPI users are currently in trouble because, during this period, no UPI transactions can be made through it.
Moreover, it would also affect the Merchant UPI transactions. For a few hours only, this service will go down. HDFC Bank has informed on its website that the UPI services will be down for 3 hours on 8th February. UPI transactions will remain unavailable on HDFC Bank’s current and savings account, RuPay credit cards, HDFC Mobile Banking app and third-party apps supported by HDFC Bank for UPI during this period- 12 midnight to 3 am on 8th February. In addition to this, Merchant UPI transactions enabled by HDFC Bank will be out of operation as well. HDFC Bank has also been notifying its customers of the problem it is encountering. The bank said that it is carrying out the system upgrade for the betterment of the banking experience. So, if you make payments or receive money via HDFC Bank’s UPI, then consider this news first.
