The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the application process for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Interested candidates can apply for these posts by visiting the official website of UPSC upsconline.gov.in on or before 25 March. The application process has started from 5 March.

Through this recruitment process, a total of 357 posts of Assistant Commandant will be filled in the Central Armed Police Forces. These include 24 posts in BSF, 204 in CRPF, 92 in CISF, 4 in ITBP, 33 posts in SSB. Let us know who can apply for these posts and how the selection will be done.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Who can apply?
Candidates applying for Assistant Commandant posts should have a graduation degree from any recognized university. Candidates in the last year of graduation can also apply. The age of the candidate should not be less than 20 years and not more than 25 years on 1 August 2025. This means that the candidate should not have been born before 2 August 2000 and after 2 August 2005. At the same time, reserved category candidates have also been given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the government rules.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Selection Process: How will the selection be done?
Applicants will be selected through written examination etc. The written examination is scheduled on 3 August 2025. There will be two papers in the exam. Paper 1 will be from 10 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. The first paper will be on general ability and intelligence and will be of 250 marks. The questions in this paper will be objective type. At the same time, Paper 2 will be on general studies, essay and comprehension and will be of 200 marks. After the written examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Interview and Medical Examination will be conducted.
