V. Narayanan is the new chairman of ISRO

V. Narayanan is the new chairman of ISRO. As a reputed scientist from ISRO, Narayanan is the LPSC chairman as of now, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre chairman.

V. Narayanan is the new chairman of ISRO. ISRO chairman is to be now taken up by Dr V. Narayanan. Dr Narayanan is to succeed the current ISRO chairman, S Somnath. He takes over on the 14th. As a reputed scientist from ISRO, Narayanan is the LPSC chairman as of now, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre chairman.

He has been associated with Indian space research for nearly 40 years. He has special expertise in the field of rocket and spacecraft propulsion. He was the Project Director for the C-25 cryogenic stage of the GSLV Mk-III. Under his leadership, an ISRO team successfully developed the C-25 stage.

Further, Narayanan has made vital contributions to the propulsion systems of Aditya Mahakashayan, GSLV Mk-III mission, Chandrayaan-2, and Chandrayaan-3. Presently, V. Narayan is the Director of the Liquid Propulsion System Centre (LPSC) based at Voliamala. Now, V. Narayanan is the new chairman of ISRO.

He joined ISRO in 1984. As of now, S. Somnath, Chairman of ISRO, started working on 14 January 2022, and he has now completed the term of two years. Important missions were completed during his period.
