What is HMPV, and why is it spreading?

According to Reuters, patients have been exposed to influenza A, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, rhinovirus, and Covid-19. HMPV virus first discovered by Dutch researchers in 2001. It has an incubation period of 3 to 5 days, and it is most prevalent in winter and spring.
