According to media reports, TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) offers four courses to prepare priests in the service of Lord Venkateswara: Veda Parayan, Divya Prabandham, Archakatvam, and Purohitavam. The salary of non-hereditary priests ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000, depending on their experience. Some hereditary priests are also given a large lump sum amount in return for their contribution, like Ramanna Dikshitulu, who was given Rs 30 lakh in return for his services.
