Saint Valentine was sentenced to death
Saint Valentine proved King Claudius’ belief wrong by getting people married, due to which the King of Rome sentenced him to death. After this, Saint Valentine was hanged on 14 February, and from that day onwards, Valentine’s Day began to be celebrated.
