World’s first AI film ‘Love You’ made in Kannada
World’s first AI Film Made In Kannada With Only Two Creators: Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has created a buzz worldwide. Among these, the world’s first completely AI-generated film has been made and it is in Kannada. The film ‘Love You’ has been made using AI technology on a budget of just ₹10 lakh.
Except for director and producer Narasimha Murthy and Nutan, who handled all the AI work, every aspect of the film, from acting and music composition to songs, background score, and dubbing, has been handled entirely by AI. Director and producer Narasimha Murthy is originally a devotee of the Bagalagunte Anjaneya temple in Bengaluru. He has also directed a few films in the past.
Nutan, a LLB graduate who oversaw all the AI-related work for the film. With over a decade of experience in the Sandalwood film industry as an assistant director and editor, he set out with the goal of making a film entirely through this modern technology. He successfully handled all the technical aspects of the production.

The film, director S. Narasimha Murthy said, “Our 95-minute film has 12 songs. The censor board members watched the film with curiosity and gave it a U/A certificate. We worked on this film for 6 months. This is the era of the AI revolution. Apart from the two of us, hundreds of people have worked on the AI film. Film has all the elements of a regular film. There are drone shots too. We faced some technical challenges during the project. For example, when we searched for ‘old man’, more than 10,000 pictures of old men were shown. AI would narrow it down to the top ten, and we had to choose the character we wanted from them. Maintaining character continuity was also a challenge. We also had to specify the speed at which the characters walked or ran. But with recent advancements, AI has become more powerful, and making such choices has become easier.”

Nutan, who handled the technical aspects, says, “We used 20 to 30 tools including Runway ML, Cling AI and Minimax. Those who have seen the film say that it is better than a normal film.” The film is set to release in May.
The entire film was made by two people!

From music and lyrics to dubbing and visuals, everything in Love You has been created with the help of AI. Notably, the film was made on a budget of just ₹10 lakh and is set to release this May.
