Zomato’s name changed: It became ‘Eternal’
‘Zomato’ name changed: The name of the country’s leading food delivery company Zomato has been changed. The decision to change the name has been approved in the Zomato board meeting. Zomato will now be known as ‘Eternal’, the company informed in a regulatory filing with the BSE.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal said the company has been calling itself Eternal for a long time. It was only recently, after they acquired Blinkit that they started referring to the parent company as Eternal instead of Zomato. This shall be aimed at distinguishing between the company and the brand/app, he further said while announcing the name change for the company Zomato Limited to Eternal.
According to Deepinder Goyal, ‘Eternal’ is not just the name but is a mission statement. It shows that the company will exist for now and always in the future.
