India Will Not Play With Pakistan, BCCI Writes to ICC After Pahalgam Attack.
India Will Not Play With Pakistan – After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian cricket team will not play any more bilateral series with Pakistan. Both the teams only face each other in ICC tournaments or ACC tournaments, but after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, BCCI has taken another big decision and has also written a letter to ICC in this regard. On 22 April 2025, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, left 26 people dead.
The BCCI took a major step and wrote a letter to the ICC demanding that India and Pakistan not be placed in the same group in any tournament. The BCCI no longer wants India and Pakistan to face each other in ICC tournaments, at least not in the group stage. If both the teams reach the semi-finals or final, then it will be a different story, but at least in the group stage, both the teams should not be kept together.

The next big ICC tournament will be in September. India will host the Women’s ODI World Cup. The Pakistan women’s team has qualified for it. The next ICC tournament in men’s cricket will be played between February and March 2026. India and Sri Lanka will host the T20 World Cup in it. However, before that, the BCCI will have to worry about the Asia Cup. The men’s cricket Asia Cup is also going to be held this year.
