BPSC 70th  Prelims Exam . Candidates are demanding cancellation of the exam. Meanwhile, BPSC issued a statement explaining why the exam cannot be cancelled . There is a ruckus over the BPSC 70th Combined Competition Preliminary organized by Bihar Public Service Commission.

Candidates are protesting in Patna demanding cancellation of the preliminary examination. Candidates say that the paper of the preliminary examination has been leaked, due to which the exam should be cancelled and the paper leak will be investigated. At the same time, the commission issued a statement saying that the exam cannot be cancelled. Let us know why the commission is not cancelling the exam only after the candidates have protested on a large scale.

The preliminary examination was conducted on 13 December 2024. The examination was held at 911 centers set up across the state. At the same time, the examination of this center was canceled after the video of tearing the OMR sheet of Bapu Examination Center in Patna went viral. The examination of this center is to be held again on 4 January 2025. Now the candidates are demanding that the examination of all the centers be canceled and they will be organized again from the beginning.

BPSC 70th Prelims Exam 2024: Why will the exam not be cancelled?

BPSC issued a statement on its official website stating that the examination will not be re-conducted at any centre except Bapu Centre. According to Examination Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh, the commission takes the decision to cancel or re-conduct the examination at any centre on the basis of the report and other evidence received through the concerned district officer.

He said that no report has been received from any district officer regarding re-conducting the 70th Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination. Even no evidence has been received regarding the cancellation of the exam through any other means. On the basis of which the decision to conduct the exam again will be taken. He said that on the basis of the report received from the Patna District Magistrate regarding the Bapu Center and the viral video and other evidence, it was decided to cancel the examination of this center and conduct it again. According to the Controller of Examinations, the examination will not be conducted again at any center except the Bapu Center.
