Ahead of BRICS Summit, Delhi HC and all district courts under the National Capital Territory of Delhi will remain closed for 3 days
BRICS Summit 2026: Delhi HC and District Courts will remain closed for 3 days: The Delhi High Court and all districts court will remain closed due to 18th BRICS summit at Bharat Mandapam. The national capital braces for arrival of high-profile global leaders attending the BRICS summit.
The Delhi High Court administration has issued an official notification stating that the Delhi HC and all district courts under the National Capital Territory of Delhi will observe a holiday on September 11(Friday). The district courts will also remain closed on September 12(Saturday) and September 13(Sunday). The lower courts will effectively remain closed for 3 consecutive days, September 11, 12 and 13. Regular judicial work at Delhi’s trial courts will resume after 3 day break.
The decision has been taken for the preparations ahead of BRICS summit in the national capital. Major areas of Delhi have been decorated with posters, lighting and other attractive decorations. The official theme of this year’s BRICS Summit is ‘Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability’. It is expected that the heads of state of different countries, foreign representatives, heads of international organizations and senior officials will participate in the conference.
The Delhi Traffic Police has also prepared traffic blueprint for VIPs and foreign delegates during the summit. As many as 22 diversion points have been set up during the passage of VIP convoys. While more than 35 roads will be controlled or diverted as per need.
