‘QR Code’ Security Now In Pahalgam, All Details Will Be Revealed By Scanning
Pahalgam Shifts To QR Code Identity System For Locals , After Terror Attacks : The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir last year shocked the entire country. 26 people lost their lives in this terrorist attack. Now, to tighten the security of Pahalgam, QR codes have been installed everywhere. People working in this mountainous area, taxi drivers, mule drivers and people have been given a QR code. They have to hang it around their neck like an i-card. By scanning it with Google Lens, all the details of the person can be seen on their mobile.
After scanning this QR code, the person’s name, address, phone number and Aadhaar card number, PIN code were revealed. Last year, 26 people lost their lives in the attack in Pahalgam. After this, the local administration has taken such steps regarding security.
According to local police, this is the biggest identification campaign in the country. Its aim is to bring 25,000 people under one identity system. About 7,000 people in the Pahalgam area have been given QR codes. To get it, a verification form has to be submitted first. After the police checks everything, the QR code will be given. If there is any criminal case, then the QR code will not be issued.
There are 17/18 places in Pahalgam where tourists come in large numbers. People living in these areas are being given QR codes first. This QR code can be scanned not only by security personnel but also by tourists. Around 3500 mules are providing services in Pahalgam. Apart from this, there are vendors, photographers and freelance guides. It is worth noting that after the terrorist attack in Baisaran, some locals are suspected of joining the terrorists. Hence, such a step has been taken.
