Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation Extends Relief to 1,500 Punjab Flood-Hit Families
SRK’s ‘Meer Foundation’ Provides Relief Kits To 1,500 Flood-Hit Families In Punjab: As Punjab battles one of its worst flood crises in decades, many individuals and organizations have stepped forward to support those affected. Among them, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation has come forward with a significant relief initiative. The foundation is providing essential support to 1,500 families impacted by the devastating floods in districts such as Amritsar, Patiala, Fazilka, and Ferozepur.
The relief operation is being carried out in collaboration with local NGOs and includes the distribution of vital supplies. Each relief kit contains food items, medicines, hygiene essentials, mosquito nets, tarpaulin sheets, folding beds, cotton mattresses, and other critical items aimed at addressing the immediate needs for shelter, health, and safety. The initiative is focused on delivering timely aid to some of the hardest-hit regions, where rising waters from rivers like the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi have caused widespread devastation.
Shah Rukh Khan also took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) last week to express his sorrow over the disaster. In his message, he wrote, “My condolences to the people affected by this devastating flood in Punjab. Sending prayers and strength… May the morale of Punjab never break… May the Almighty bless them all.” The Meer Foundation’s humanitarian response reflects its continued commitment to standing by people in times of crisis.
