The government is going to bring such a rule from the new year. If anyone gives alms to a beggar from the new year, then an FIR will be registered against them. Such a rule is going to be implemented in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which has been declared the cleanest city in the country. To make the city free of beggars,Madhya Pradesh, has increased, the city administration is taking steps to control it.
However, the number of beggars has not decreased. Therefore, as the next step, District Collector Ashish Singh has said, “From the 1st of next year, cases will also be registered against those who give money or food as beggars.”The Collector also said that arrangements are being made for rehabilitation of those affected by the ban on begging. The Central Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has planned to make 10 cities in India beggar-free. It is noteworthy that Indore is also included in this list.
