Odisha Rain Alert : Low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal . 8 districts on alert for thunderstorms and lightning today. The Regional Meteorological Center has issued yellow warning for 8 districts and 3 districts on 24th. According to the information of the Regional Meteorological Center, the upper air cyclonic circulation over the Indian Ocean and the adjacent southeast Bay of Bengal has turned into a low pressure area. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form. It will become more pronounced as it moves west-northwestwards.

Due to its influence, lightning and thunder accompanied by wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph is likely in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore and Bhadrak districts. Therefore, a yellow warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department for these districts. On the 24th, lightning and thunder accompanied by wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph is likely in Mayurbhanj, Jajpur and Cuttack districts. A yellow warning has also been issued for these districts. After this, the weather in the state will remain dry and the minimum temperature in the state will increase by 2 to 3 degrees.
