T20 World Cup:Undefeated India fails in Super-8. The Indian team has suffered a very miserable defeat in the first match of the Super-8. Team India has been all out for just 111 runs in 18.5 overs. The Super 8 match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 was played between South Africa and India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first, South Africa scored 187 runs.
South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. This is the sixth meeting between the two teams in the last two months. But this is the first time the two teams have faced each other in this World Cup. For South Africa, David Miller top-scored with 63 runs, while Dewald Brewis made 45 and Tristan Stubbs made 44 runs. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets, while Arshadeep Singh took two and Shivam Dubey and Varun Chakravarthy took one wicket each.
