Second Phase of Parliament Budget Session Begins Today Amid Political Tensions: The second phase of the Parliament of India’s budget session begins today and is expected to witness intense debates and political exchanges between the government and the opposition. Several important issues are likely to be taken up in both Houses, making the upcoming days crucial for legislative discussions.

One of the key matters expected to dominate the session is the no-confidence motion moved by opposition parties against the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla. The motion, which has been supported by 118 Members of Parliament, has triggered a political controversy ahead of the session.

The opposition has accused the Speaker of not maintaining neutrality while conducting proceedings in the Lok Sabha. Following the submission of the notice for the motion, Om Birla stepped aside from presiding over the House until the issue is resolved.

Government leaders, however, have strongly defended Birla, stating that he has always upheld the Constitution and the principles of parliamentary democracy while managing the House. The discussion on the motion is expected to lead to sharp exchanges between the ruling alliance and opposition parties.

The budget session of Parliament began on February 28 and will continue until April 2. During this period, several legislative matters, financial discussions, and policy debates are scheduled to take place.

With political controversies and international issues on the agenda, the second phase of the session is expected to be both intense and closely watched.
