Trump also said that a diplomatic agreement with Tehran is not necessary for the United States to end the conflict. He said that Iran will not have to make any deal. He said that he will end the war after reducing Iran to the Stone Age, so that Tehran cannot develop nuclear weapons again quickly. Trump is scheduled to address the nation at 9 pm on Wednesday (6:30 am on Thursday according to Indian time) to provide important information on the Iran war.
The US had earlier warned that it would launch a major attack if Iran did not accept its 15-point proposal. The key demands included a commitment by Iran not to develop nuclear weapons, a complete halt to uranium enrichment and the complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz. On Tuesday, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that President Trump wants to make a deal with Iran that would end the war. The war has killed thousands of people. Energy supplies around the world have been disrupted and the global financial system has been affected. The US made this statement after Iran’s Revolutionary Guard threatened to target major US technology and industrial companies since April 1. Iran had threatened to target 18 companies including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, IBM, Tesla and Boeing. On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abhas Araghchi, speaking to Al Jazeera, said that he had been in contact with US Special Representative Steve Whittaker. However, this contact was indirect.
