“Silenced but Not Defeated”: Raghav Chadha Reacts to AAP Decision: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken a significant organisational decision by removing Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. In his place, the party has appointed Ashok Mittal as the new deputy leader.
Soon after the announcement, Raghav Chadha reacted publicly, expressing his dissatisfaction through a video shared on social media. In the video, he questioned the party’s stance on raising public issues and suggested that attempts were being made to silence his voice. He stated that although he had been “silenced,” he remained determined and committed to speaking for the common people.
During the 2-minute 45-second video, Chadha highlighted a range of issues affecting citizens, including the increasing tax burden on the middle class, mobile data expiry concerns, penalties for not maintaining minimum bank balances, food adulteration, air pollution, GST on health insurance, and high costs of services such as airport food and excess baggage charges. He also referred to concerns like paper leak incidents and recharge plan validity, calling for greater attention to everyday problems faced by the public.
Raghav Chadha Questions AAP After Removal from Leadership Post
In a poetic remark, Chadha indicated resilience, saying that his silence should not be mistaken for defeat and that he would continue to raise his voice when the time is right.
Raghav Chadha has been an active political figure, previously serving as a Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly from 2020 to 2022 and holding a role in the Delhi Jal Board. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in April 2022 and has since been involved in raising policy and public interest issues at the national level.
The development comes at a time when internal dynamics within the Aam Aadmi Party are drawing attention, although the party has not officially detailed the reasons behind the leadership change.
