Violent Protests Again In Visut, Authorities Fine Four Senior Students : Another allegation of ragging in Visut. A student of the Mechanical Department of Sambalpur Visut has been accused of ragging. A fact finding team formed by four senior students has fined the students for the alleged ragging.
One student has been fined Rs 10,000 and three other students have been fined Rs 5,000 each. Four seniors were abusing a junior while another junior was recording a video of it. The seniors beat up the said student. After the complaint, the Anti-Ragging Cell and Fact Finding Team investigated and punished the four. The incident happened 15 days ago, said Visut Vice Chancellor Professor Deepak Kumar Sahu.
