Rajasthan Stars Battled Injuries to Keep Team Alive in Playoff Race
Big Revelation After Playoff Qualification: Two Rajasthan Players Were Injured: After securing a place in the IPL 2026 playoffs, the Rajasthan Royals are now dealing with injury concerns within the squad. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been struggling with knee and elbow problems but continues to play for the team despite discomfort. Head coach Kumar Sangakkara said the franchise is closely monitoring Jadeja’s condition and making sure he does not take on unnecessary workload ahead of the crucial playoff matches.
Jadeja made his return in the recent match against the Mumbai Indians, where he came in as an Impact Substitute and scored a quick 19 runs from just 11 balls. Before that, he had missed important games against the Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants due to fitness issues.
Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag also revealed that he has not been fully fit this season and has continued playing through injury for the sake of the team. Speaking about Jadeja, Parag praised the experienced all-rounder’s fighting spirit and described him as a “warrior” who always gives his best for the side. He also expressed confidence that Jadeja would recover strongly and continue to play a key role for Rajasthan in the playoffs.
The Royals are now preparing for a high-pressure playoff clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 27 at Mullanpur, where the team will hope its injured stars can continue contributing in the race for the IPL 2026 title.
