Postmortem Allowance Increased
Government Hikes Postmortem Allowance: The state health department has announced a revision in the allowance provided to doctors for conducting post-mortems. Under the new order, doctors working in the OMES cadre, who were earlier receiving Rs 500 for each postmortem examination, will now be paid Rs 1,000 per case.

The health department informed about this change on Tuesday, stating that the decision has been taken to improve support for doctors involved in postmortem duties. The increase in allowance is expected to benefit medical officers and streamline the overall system of compensation for Postmortem work.
