Government Hikes Postmortem Allowance: The state health department has announced a revision in the allowance provided to doctors for conducting post-mortems. Under the new order, doctors working in the OMES cadre, who were earlier receiving Rs 500 for each postmortem examination, will now be paid Rs 1,000 per case.
