Textbooks to be distributed ahead of summer holidays, says Education Minister: All school students in Odisha will receive their textbooks before summer vacation. School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond said on Wednesday. However, he clarified that 90% of the textbooks have already been printed and are being supplied to students. The remaining 10% of books will also reach students before the summer vacation ends, Gond stated.
Gond admitted that textbook printing was delayed due to technical issues. He assured that all textbooks will be distributed to students before the summer vacation. He emphasized that the government is fully concerned about the students’ academic needs. There will be no disruption in studies due to the shortage of textbooks, the education minister assured.
The Minister’s statement comes amid reports of delayed textbook distribution in several districts ahead of the new academic session.
