Ceasefire violation: US launches major strikes on Iran: America launched fresh military attack on Iran on Saturday. This action was taken after the attack on a Panama- flaged oil vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the US military, at around 4:30 in the morning, the Panamanian-flagged oil tanker M/T Kiku was attacked by a unilateral drone. This tanker was passing near the Strait of Hormuz with more than two million barrels of crude oil. America blamed Iran for this attack.
This is America’s second major attack despite the ceasefire. The United States says that Iran has violated the ceasefire agreement, while President Donald Trump has warned that if Iran does not comply, it may cease to exist.
The American Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement saying that this military action was taken on the instructions of the President. According to CENTCOM, the US had taken action in response to the attack related to Iran a day before, but allowed Iran to uphold the ceasefire. Despite this, the Iranian forces again launched a drone attack, after which the United States took military action again.
