A passenger bus falls into ravine, 40 died, 8 injured: In a tragic incident, an overloaded passenger bus plunged into a deep roadside ravine in Pakistan. At least 40 people died and 8 were severely injured.
According to sources, a passenger bus plunged into a deep ravine on the Sherani-Zhob highway in Pakistan on Friday. The accident took place in the Danasar area near the border of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The passenger bus was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar. There were a total of 48 people on board at the time of the accident. A rescue operation was initiated following the incident. The seriously injured people are admitted to the nearby hospital.
Officials said, the bus had departed from Quetta but in middle of the road it experienced a mechanical failure. So, the passengers were forced onto another bus which overloaded it and caused the accident.
