MP shocking girl missing data
Madhya Pradesh Assembly Presents Alarming Statistics : Shocking statistics regarding women and girls have emerged in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Responding to a question in the Assembly, the Home Department informed that from 2020 to January 28, 2026, 270,300 women and girls went missing in Madhya Pradesh, of which 220,130 women and girls were recovered, but more than 50,000 women and girls are still missing.
This information was provided by the Home Department in a written reply to a question by Congress MLA Dr. Vikrant Bhuria.

Missing Women: 206,507
Recovered Women: 158,523
Missing Till Now: 47,984
Missing Girls: 63,793
Recovered Girls: 61,607
Missing Till Now: 2,186
Not only this, the data from 2020 to 2026 clearly shows that these cases have been increasing every year.

- 39,564 missing in 2021
- 43,148 missing in 2022
- 46,291 missing in 2023
- 50,798 missing in 2024
- 54,897 missing in 2025
- As of January 28, 2026 – As of January 28, 2026, 4,197 women and girls were missing.
Of these, 220,130 women and girls have been recovered, but it is a matter of concern that 50,170 women and girls are still missing.
