IND VS ENG 4TH T20I: Do or die for India, England leading series 2-0: India will face England in the fourth T20I of the ongoing five-match series. The match will be played at the County Ground in Bristol on Thursday. The match will start at 10 PM IST. England is leading the series 2-0. The first match was abandoned due to rain, while the second and third T20Is were won by the hosts.
Team India has the last chance to save the T20 series against England. It is do or die for India. If the Indian team loses in this match then they will also lose the series. This will be the first time since 2018-19 that India can lose two consecutive T20I series.
England is leading 2-0 in the five-match series. But India have a chance to level the series by winning the next two matches. Before this match, there will be a challenge of selection in front of the team management. The biggest question is about Sanju Samson. He was dropped from the second and third T20Is and given a chance to 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
The youngster’s performance so far has been neither worse nor better than the rest of the team. With the team currently trailing 0-2, India head coach Gautam Gambhir has not ruled out the possibility of Samson’s return. Sanju’s career has been full of ups and downs in the last four months. He was out of the team for a while, then returned to the team after performing brilliantly, but now he has to sit out again.
Shreyas Iyer has yet to win a single international match after becoming T20 captain. After the 125-run defeat in the third T20I against England, he described the team’s performance as very poor. Shreyas has lost 10 matches in his last 11 T20 captaincy including IPL. However, coach Gautam Gambhir said that one defeat does not spoil the team. According to him, India will not change its attacking approach.
