Skin Care Tips: How to remove tanning of the neck, apply these home remedies: Many people clean their faces regularly. But neck care is often neglected. This is the reason behind the gradual darkening of the neck as compared to the rest of the body. Tanning, dead skin cells, and accumulation of dirt can aggravate this problem. This not only makes it look bad, but also reduces the confidence of many people. With the help of some simple home remedies, the dark neck can be reduced to a great extent.

  1. Lemon: Lemon is a good source of vitamin ‘C’. It helps to remove dark spots and brighten skin tone naturally. In a bowl, take one tea/table spoon of honey and mix few lemon drops. Apply the mixture to the neck for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse with normal water. Try this remedy twice or thrice a week.
  2. Yoghurt: In a bowl, mix one table/ tea spoon of yoghurt and besan and make a paste. Apply to the neck and leave it for 20 minutes. Rub with hands and rinse with normal water.   3. Potato: Grate a raw potato and filter the juice into a bowl. Apply on the neck with the help of a cotton. After 15 minutes, rinse off with normal water. Regular use may help in removing tanning.
  4. Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera gel has anti- inflammatory properties with a cooling effect. Apply Aloe Vera gel on the neck and leave it for 20 minutes. Then rinse with normal water. It also keeps skin hydrated, clear and glowing.

5. Cucumber: In a bowl, mix 1 spoon of grated cucumber juice and a few drops of gulab jal. Apply with cotton on the neck. Rinse with normal water after 10 to 15 minutes. Cucumber has cooling properties, and gulab jal helps skin look hydrated.

If the blackness of the neck persists for a long time or is accompanied by problems like itching and thickening of the skin, then consult a doctor. In some cases it can also be a sign of diabetes, hormonal changes or other health problems.
