President, PM paid tribute to brave warriors on Kargil Vijay Diwas: India is observing the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating its victory in the 1999 Kargil War. On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and other dignitaries have also paid tribute to the brave warriors, remembering their extraordinary courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
President Draupadi Murmu wrote on social media platform ‘X’, ‘On Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay my respects to the brave warriors who laid down their lives for the defense of the motherland. Their unparalleled bravery, unwavering resolve and unwavering patriotism are a wonderful example of the glorious tradition of our army. The country will always be indebted to them. The heroic stories of our valiant heroes are a path of national service and devotion to the generations to come. It will continue to inspire me to walk on.’
In an ‘X’ post, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘On Kargil Vijay Diwas, our country expresses its gratitude to those brave soldiers who showed indomitable courage and dedication for India’s security. Their indomitable courage even under the most difficult circumstances will always remain a source of national pride. Their unwavering patriotism and devotion to duty will continue to inspire generations.’
