India to Play Historic 600th Test Today: Who Has Played More Matches? India is set to achieve a major milestone in Test cricket as it prepares to play its 600th Test match against Sri Lanka. With this, India will become only the third team in the world to reach the 600-Test mark.
England currently tops the list with 1,097 Test matches, while Australia is second with 883 Tests. India has played 599 Tests since making its Test debut against England in 1932.

Their performances have helped India establish itself as one of the strongest teams in the format.
Reaching 600 Tests is another significant achievement for Indian cricket and reflects the team’s long and rich history in the longest format of the game.
So far, India has played more than 100 Tests against only England, Australia and the West Indies. The 600th Test against Sri Lanka will add another memorable chapter to India’s Test cricket history.
