All government, private and Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya schools in Jajpur district have been instructed to remain closed today.
Schools and Anganwadi centres shut in 3 districts: Schools and Anganwadi centres today will remain closed in three districts of Odisha. The decision has been taken for safety of students keeping in view of the heavy rainfall forecast and worsening flood situation.
Bhadrak district administration has declared a holiday for 268 schools across six flood-affected blocks. As per the order, all schools in the specified blocks shall remain closed today. Bant block has been excluded from the closure order. In addition, 567 Anganwadi centres located in the affected areas will also remain shut today. District officials said clogged roads and inclement weather have made it difficult for students to commute to their respective schools.
Similarly, Schools and Anganwadi centres will also remain closed in Sundaragada district today due to the heavy rainfall forecast and flood situation.

The administration has urged parents to ensure children stay indoors and avoid waterlogged areas.
