Milk prices will go up by Rs 9 from September 1

With this hike Tabela milk which was priced at Rs 93 per litre earlier will now be available at Rs 102 per litre.

Milk prices will go up by Rs 9 from September 1: Milk prices in Mumbai will increase from September 1. The development comes ahead of festive season which will impact the monthly budget of the consumers.

In Mumbai the price of Tabela milk(fresh raw milk) will be increased by Rs 9 per litre. With this hike Tabela milk which was priced at Rs 93 per litre earlier will now be available at Rs 102 per litre. According to Mumbai milk producers association the decision has been taken due to increase in expenses in dairy animals feed and fodder including grains. The price have rose by 25%. The increased price of oil cake has also increased the cost of milk production.

The increase in milk price comes just before the festive season. This will put financial burden on families who purchase milk from open milk shops or dairies. The new rates will be effective from September 1, 2026 and will remain until February, 2027.
