LPG e-KYC date extended, know how to complete e-KYC using smartphone: Good news for LPG gas consumers. The government has extended the last date of e-KYC for LPG. Gas companies warned that consumers who fail to complete e-KYC will not be issued new cylinders.

The government had earlier fixed the last date of e-KYC for LPG gas cylinders on August 23. Later, date has been extended to 31 August 2026. Many people are misusing the domestic LPG gas cylinder for commercial purpose. Due to this, the government has made it mandatory for LPG gas consumers to get their e-KYC done.

Consumers can also complete e-KYC process from their smartphone at home:

1. First you need to download your gas company’s app. For example, if you have HP Gas, download the HP Pay app from the Play Store. This app is available on both Android and iOS.

2. Along with this you have to download another app Aadhar Face RD for biometric verification.

3. Now you have to register yourself by opening the app of your gas company. Here you register with your registered mobile number, for this you will also need OTP.

4. Then set the 4 digit MPIN. After that login with MPIN and allow location access.

5. Now go to My HP section and click on LPG. Then select e-KYC.

6. After this you will see some terms on the screen which you must read and give your permission.

7. Then you will get Capture Face option on the same page which you have to click on.

8. Then Aadhar Face RD app to allow face scanning while using the app.

9. Then complete your e-kyc by marking the check mark on the I am aware… line by following the given instructions.

10. Also note that if your Aadhaar is biometric locked then unlock it. Without it the e-KYC process will not be completed. For this, download the mAadhaar app and register with your Aadhaar.
