LPG Relief for India: ‘Pyxis Pioneer’ Tanker Arrives Amid Global Fuel Crisis: Amid rising concerns over fuel shortages due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, India has received a major boost with the arrival of an LPG tanker. The Singapore-flagged vessel Pyxis Pioneer docked on Sunday at New Mangaluru Port, bringing much-needed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplies.
The tanker carried approximately 16,714 tonnes of LPG and is part of a larger shipment expected to ease supply pressures in the country. Reports indicate that nearly 72,700 tonnes of LPG will arrive in phases over the coming week, offering relief amid fears of a potential LPG shortage.
The vessel, which departed from the Netherlands on February 14, is scheduled to unload its cargo for Aegis Logistics Limited before returning.
The development comes at a time when several Asian countries, including India, are grappling with disruptions in oil and gas supply due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The fresh LPG inflow is expected to stabilize supply and ease concerns among consumers.
