Thousands of people joined the Bageshwar Baba Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s padyatra in Faridabad on Saturday morning. Today, Sunday, the yatra will proceed from Dussehra Ground toward the highway. Due to this, the Delhi-Mathura highway will be temporarily closed. Police authorities have appealed to those traveling between Delhi and Mathura to choose alternative routes. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s yatra, which began in Chhatarpur, Delhi, will conclude in Vrindavan on November 16th.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and several prominent leaders, cricketers, and well-known personalities, including Dhirendra Shastri, joined the march that reached Faridabad. Regarding the march’s further journey, police said the march will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday from Dussehra Ground and proceed towards Ballabhgarh via Metro Mor, NIT Bus Stand, Hardware Chowk, Sector 22-23 Chowk, Lakhani Chowk, Sohna T-Point, and under the Ballabhgarh flyover. After lunch at Dussehra Ground, the march will proceed towards Sikri.
The highway will be closed in the afternoon.
According to police, the National Highway will be closed for a short time in the afternoon due to traffic passing through the Ballabhgarh Railway Overbridge. Due to the narrowness of the road, vehicles will be stopped on the Delhi-Mathura and Mathura-Delhi routes. Traffic will also be stopped briefly under the Ballabhgarh flyover and on the Sohna Railway Overbridge.
Which roads will remain closed?
The roads leading to Dussehra Ground, NIT, Hardware Chowk, Sohna T-Point, and Ballabhgarh Dussehra Ground will be closed on both sides starting at 7 a.m. Sunday. Police have advised motorists to use alternative routes.
Furthermore, the road from Dussehra Ground to Ballabhgarh Dussehra Ground will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon. Highway traffic will resume once the procession moves onto the highway’s service lane from JCB Chowk.
