Delhi building collapse: Owner arrested from Rajasthan: Delhi police on Monday arrested owner of collapsed Satya Niketan building from Rajasthan’s Bhiwandi. Delhi police deployed 10 separate teams across multiple states to track him down after he went missing following the incident.
According to a police source, soon after the building collapsed on Sunday, Gupta received a call from someone he knew, who informed him of the incident. Gupta was in Gurugram at the time of the collapse. He then immediately switched off his mobile phone and went into hiding, leaving the city, the source said. After procuring the owner’s details, police teams tried to contact him, but he remained unreachable. Delhi police had previously issued a Look Out Circular against the owner Hariram Bansal. An FIR was also registered against him. The tragic incident so far claimed 7 lives, while 12 people were rescued and are undergoing treatment. Investigators are now interrogating the owner in connection with the incident.
