Harish Rawat Resigns From All Congress Posts: Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has resigned from two posts of Congress on Friday. He has announced his resignation citing reasons in a long note on X.
Harish Rawat resigned from his congress posts a time when the Enforcement Directorate has taken action against his OSD and close aide Chandan Singh Jina. It is also claimed that a large amount of cash, gold and silver and valuables have been recovered from his house.
Harish Rawat announced his resignation by posting on his X handle, ‘At a time when congress is fighting against corruption, the allegations against his PA may harm the party, so he has announced his resignation from the post of executive member of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee and permanent invitee member of Congress Working Committee at the national level.’
Harish Rawat also defended his PA and said that he is a gentleman. Harish Rawat said that there are reports in the media that a large amount of cash, jewelery and other valuables have been seized or recovered from my PA’s property. The truth of this matter will become clear in time.
The Congress leader said that Jinnah has served as my OSD and has discharged many important responsibilities while holding various positions in the party and government. He is very hardworking, decent and humble person. If there is any proof, if there is any proof that he has tampered in the recruitment of gram sevaks or in the OMR sheet or any such mistake, then I am ashamed of his so called audacious act.
