‘Hanuman Ansh’ declared tax free in two states: Vishal Chaturvedi directed film ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has achieved record breaking collections in box-office. Over a month of its release, the film is drawing huge crowds to theatres. Meanwhile, the film has been declared tax free in two states.
Earlier this month, the Uttarakhand government had decided to make the film ’Hanuman Ansh’ tax free in the state. The government will bear the State Goods and Services Tax(SGST) levied on tickets in theatres and multiplexes so that audiences will not have to pay the tax. Uttarakhand Director General of Information and Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Banshidhar Tiwari, has directed the state tax department to take necessary action in this regard.
Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, ‘ A feature film ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has been made on Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj . It is a spiritual film which everyone need to watch. Those who read about him and feel his presence consider him to be an incarnation of lord Hanuman. This is a family oriented film which depicts how true devotion to god brings his blessings and grace. We are making the film tax free so that maximum people of the state can watch this film.’
Apart from this Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Dev Sai watched the film with his family in Raipur. He has also announced the film to be tax free in the state.
Let us tell you that the film ‘Hanuman Ansh’, made on a 2 crore budget, has crossed over 40 days of its theatrical release. According to SaccNilk, on the 40th day (September 15) the film’s net earning recorded Rs 8.25 crores from 9, 175 shows. In India the film’s total gross collection stands at Rs 272.90 crore and total net collection stands at Rs 231.13 crore. The film’s overseas market collection earned Rs 2 crore and total overseas gross collection recorded Rs 18.50 on 40th day. With this film’s total gross collection worldwide stands at Rs 291.40 crore.
