Asian Games 2026: India win gold medal in women’s kabaddi, beat Iran 37-34: India has won the gold medal in Kabaddi. The Indian women’s kabaddi team defeated Iran 37-34 on Saturday. This is India’s third gold and 27th medal in the Asian Games 2026.
The Indian women’s kabaddi team had a good lead in the first half, but in the second half, Iran made a comeback. By half time, India had a 22-16 lead over Iran. At the beginning of the second half, Iran performed brilliantly and at one time the score reached 27-26, Team India was all out. The final challenge was not easy for India but the team made a strong comeback with changed strategy and won the match. It was the Indian team’s mental resilience that helped them win the game, and ultimately finish in first place.
India lost only one match at the Asian Games 2018, when Iran won 27-24, becoming first team other than India to win a gold.
