India's first air taxi: Now no tension of traffic jams on roads!

India’s first air taxi: No more traffic problems; now you have to travel by AIR TAXI

India’s first air taxi: Air Taxi will fly in India. The thing is surprising but true. There is no other way except flying taxis. Because traffic problems have become very common here. We have to stand in traffic for hours. The bigger the city, the more the population. And the more people, the more vehicles. As a result, it is natural for traffic problems to arise.

The crowd will no longer have to stand on the road for hours. The traffic problem will soon be solved. Flying taxi service is going to start in India soon. India’s first flying taxi prototype was displayed at Auto Expo 2025 this year.

Jointly developed by Sona Speed and Sarala Aviation, this air taxi is based on EVTOL technology. That is, it can fly directly above and below the runway without a runway. It is said that when this air taxi is launched in India, the traffic problems of big cities can be solved and people can save hours of time. The target is to make air taxis available in the market by 2028.

This year, Sarala Aviation’s air taxi ‘Shavan’ became the center of attraction at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. Along with Sarala Aviation, Sena Speed is working hard to develop the air taxi. Union Minister for Steel HD Kumaraswamy and Union Minister Piyush Goyal have also described the prototype of Shavan as historic.

Sona Speed has previously collaborated with NASA in many space missions. Now the company is preparing to revolutionize urban air transport. Sona Speed will manufacture the essential components of ‘Savaan’ at its factory in Karnataka. This includes essential equipment like motors and landing gears.

Rakesh Gaonkar, CEO of Sarala Aviation, said, “Sona Speed’s expertise in engineering perfectly complements our vision for flying taxis. This collaboration strengthens our mission to redefine urban mobility with cutting-edge avionics technology.

The good news is that many things will be done smoothly when flying taxis come. All essential services, like ambulances, can be done with the help of flying taxis. People will be able to reach medical facilities, offices, and examination centers in less time. Crowds or traffic will no longer be a problem for people. It would not be wrong to say that the epoch-making innovations of technology are truly taking human society in a new direction.
