LK Advani discharged from hospital after health condition improves: BJP veteran leader Lal Krishna Advani was discharged from a Delhi hospital on Monday after improvement in his health condition.
‘The 98 year old Advani was admitted to the pulmonary department of Indraprastha Apollo hospital on October 16, 2026 at 7:30 pm due to a chest infection. He was under care of Dr. Vinit Suri, senior consultant in neurology,’ the hospital said in a statement.
Earlier, in December 2024, Advani was admitted to the ICU of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. After neurologist supervised his treatment, he was discharged after a few days.
Advani served as BJP president on multiple occasions and was deputy prime minister from 2002 to 2004. He played a key role in the party’s rise as a major national political force.
