After Shivaji Satam’s legendary portrayal of ACP Pradyuman portrayal of ACP Pradyuman came to an emotional halt, fans were initially skeptical about a new face taking charge. But the latest promo featuring Parth has flipped the narrative. His entry line, “Kab tak ACP Pradyuman ke maut pe aansu bahaoge? Ye jo dard hai, emotions, aansu, inn sab ke potli baandh ke office ke bahar rakh kar aaya karo. Let’s get back to work now,” set the tone for a tougher, more emotionally guarded version of the CID leadership.
In an interview with Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan, Parth expressed the immense responsibility of taking over such a well-established character. He shared that when he received the offer, he felt conflicted about accepting it. However, after discussing it with his family, who initially thought he was joking, he decided to embrace the opportunity.
Parth stated, “This is an iconic show which has been going on in Sony Entertainment Television par. When I discussed it with my family, they thought I was joking. But when I told them I was doing it seriously, they were very proud. It’s actually a very big responsibility to fill in such shoes, such humongous shoes of ACP Pradyuman, since I’m replacing him as ACP Ayushman. It’s a new character, a new story. We will take the story forward with new thrills and suspense. I never thought I would be part of such a collaboration. This is a cross-collaboration for me…I’m glad to be a part of such an iconic show.”
The transition comes as ACP Pradyuman’s character meets a dramatic end in the series. According to the storyline, ACP Pradyuman is killed, and ACP Ayushman is brought in to solve the case. Parth explained that his character will be investigating the murder of ACP Pradyuman while tackling other cases. He noted that his character differs from the former ACP, adding a fresh dynamic to the show.
CID, known for its gripping suspense and thrilling cases, has been a staple on Sony Entertainment Television since its debut in 1998. The series also features popular characters like Inspector Abhijeet and Inspector Daya, played by Aditya Srivastava and Dayanand Shetty, respectively.
