The TMC has been facing a rough patch following its crushing defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections. Internal rifts have emerged within the party, and the blame for this is being pinned on Abhishek Banerjee. Abhishek shared CCTV footage of the incident on social media. It features an unknown person who arrives in front of the house on a bike. Then he started throwing stones against the windows of the first floor. The unknown person was wearing a green colour shirt, blue jeans, and a helmet. He threw stones twice before riding away.
The incident did not merely reflect a collapse of law and order but also dangerous institutionalization of violence said Abhishek. He also raised questions about the role of police.
