‘Raaka’ Set to Be India’s Biggest Superhero Film
Allu Arjun Turns Superhero in ‘Raaka’, Big-Budget Sci-Fi Film Announced: Allu Arjun has announced his upcoming sci-fi superhero film Raaka on his birthday, creating major buzz across Indian cinema. The actor, whose film Pushpa 2 became one of the highest-grossing films, is set to take on a completely new avatar with this ambitious project.
Directed by Atlee, the film reportedly stars Deepika Padukone alongside Allu Arjun, while other names are still unconfirmed. Backed by producer Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, Raaka is being made on a massive scale with a reported budget of around ₹800 crore, making it one of India’s most expensive films.
The film is said to revolve around a powerful warrior who emerges to restore balance when the universe is in danger. Planned as a pan-India and global release in multiple languages, Raaka aims to elevate Indian cinema internationally. While the release date is yet to be officially announced, the film is expected to hit theatres around 2027.
