BCCI Fines Shreyas Iyer : The match played between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans was exciting. Punjab defeated Gujarat in the last over. Shreyas Iyer captained the team brilliantly. But after the match, BCCI gave Iyer a big shock. The IPL committee has fined him a huge amount of money. The IPL committee has fined Shreyas Iyer lakhs of rupees.
Shreyas Iyer has been fined by the BCCI for not bowling all 20 overs in the allotted time. He failed to bowl the entire 20 overs in the allotted time. Iyer has been fined for slow over rate. This is Shreyas Iyer’s first offence under IPL rules. Therefore, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 12 lakh. Shreyas has become the first captain to be found guilty of this offence in the 19th season of the IPL.
If Shreyas Iyer repeats this mistake this season, he will be fined 2.4 million and six other players will also be subject to disciplinary action. The remaining players will be fined 6 million (25 percent of their match fees). If Shreyas Iyer fails to bowl a full 20 overs for the third time, he will be suspended for one match.
