Boat Accident In Andaman Sea : More Than 250 People Are Missing, A passenger boat heading towards Malaysia has capsized in the Andaman Sea. It was carrying hundreds of people travelling illegally. Most of them were migrant workers and Bangladeshi nationals. At least nine people have been rescued in the incident, while more than 250 people are missing. The Bangladesh Coast Guard is continuing its efforts to rescue the missing people. According to a report by Bangladeshi newspaper The Daily Star, there were around 250 to 280 people on the boat, including migrants and Bangladeshi nationals.

The boat is said to have capsized after spending several days at sea. The incident came to light when a patrolling ship in the area rescued nine people from the sea. In a press release, Bangladesh Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Sabbir Alam Sujan said that the Bangladeshi-flagged vessel MT Meghana Pride was heading to Indonesia from Chatgaon.
