BRICS security meeting on June 23: Delhi braces for BRICS National Security Advisers(NSAs) meeting on June 22-23. This meeting is viewed as a preparatory step for the BRICS leaders’ summit scheduled for September 12-13 in India.
Representatives from Russia, China and Iran will join the BRICS NSA meeting hosted in New Delhi. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Russia’s Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu and Iran’s National Security Adviser Mohammad Bagheri Zolgadar will be the main participants in the meeting on June 23. The meeting will be Tehran’s first major international engagement since the US-Iran peace deal aimed at ending the conflict.
